The collection at the museum includes a variety of over 850 lamps, such as kerosene, Parlour, Aladdin, and others. There are several area pioneer artifacts, including a mouse-proof kitchen cabinet, advertising tins, salt and pepper shakers, and Native artifacts.

Donalda & District Museum offers an educational tour on the Evolution of Lighting for all grade levels. Antique artifact matching games and the "What's It?" quiz are offered for enjoyment. Tours of the museum, the creamery, and the train station are all available, although the train station and creamery tours are seasonal. The Imperial Bank of Canada building is now home to the Donalda Art Gallery. The "World's Largest Lamp" (42 feet tall) was officially lit on July 1, 2000. It lights up at dusk and glows above the Meeting Creek Coulee. This lamp was built to further enhance the Museum's collection.
