Fort Ostell Museum

The Fort Ostell Museum is located at Centennial Park, Ponoka. The hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., from May 1 to August 31; and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends and holidays. Other times can be arranged by appointment. The governing authority is the Fort Ostell Museum Society. We suggest an admission fee of Adults, $2.00; 7 and over $1.00; 6 and under free; Families, $5.00.

The collection at the museum includes local historical artifacts and memorabilia from the early 1900's, including a country store, classroom, and child's bedroom. The museum presents art shows, traveling and temporary exhibits, and tours.

The Fort Ostell Museum does not currently offer specific education programs; however, we strive to accommodate requests and tours are always available for students. Contact the museum for further information.
