Mountain View Museum

Mountain View Museum
Box 3882
5038 - 50 Street
Olds, Alberta
T0M 1P6
phone: (403) 556-8464

The Mountain View Museum is located at 5038 - 50 Street in Olds. The hours of operation are 9 to 5, Monday to Friday, in July and August; and 1 to 5, Tuesday to Thursday, from September to June. The governing authority is the Olds Historical Society. There is no admission fee though donations are gratefully accepted.

The collection at the Mountain View museum includes artifacts that reflect the history of Olds and surrounding area. Every year there are personalized school and group tours, and special demonstrations of pioneer activities at the local fair. There is a research centre available for students working on projects such as Heritage Fair. The research centre is available for visitors seeking information on family history. We reserve an exhibit area "Treasure of the Month" in which we display an interest of a local citizen.

The Mountain View Museum offers instruction classes in the revival of an old craft (eg. quilted table runner) and tours are always available for students, and those interested in doing research. Contact the museum for further information.
