The Roulston Museum is located on 1138 Nanon Street, Carstairs. The hours of operation are Tuesday to Sunday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. throughout the summer and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday September 15 - May (Winter Season); all other times by appointment. The governing authority is the Carstairs and District Historical Society. There is no admission fee though donations are gratefully accepted.

The collection at the museum includes artifacts and pictures relating to aspects of local life from early settlement to the present. There are records and artifacts from the Knox Presbyterian Church and displays from Glenbow's Rural Loans Program. The museum features the McCaig House from 1901 which is a restored, furnished homestead house. Archives are available for research projects. There is an annual Pioneer Supper, "An Old Time Christmas Concert" in December, Annual Garden Party in August, and the museum opens for special event days such as Beef'n Barley Days weekend in July. The "Olde Tyme Sweete Shoppe" has also been added to the museum.
