Millet and District Museum and Exhibit Room

Program Title: Technology and Change in Millet's History

Category: Social Studies

Grade Levels: Grade 9

Program Outline: By identifying and collecting information on artifacts that represent different technologies, by looking at archival sources of information relating to the technology used in farming and agriculture, and by creating a simple diagram of a working model of an invention patented by a member of Millet's community in the past, the students will discover the significance of technology in Millet's past.

Program Duration: 1.5 hours

Availability:

Cost of Program: $2.50 per student with a minimum of $40.00

Maximum Group Size: 30 students

Adult/Student Ratio: A minimum of 4 adults per group.

Program Materials: Three resource guides: an Information Guide, a Teacher Resource Guide and a Student Resource Guide, are sent to the school upon receipt of the $40.00 booking deposit.

Pre/Post Trip Materials: The Student Resource Guide contains all pre- and post field study requirements.
